Great app but should be updated to fit the iPhone 5 and iOS 7!!

This app used to be quite useful, but the author has not been updated in some time. New requirements are missing. Avoid this until the author updates it.

I like having a copy of the handbook easily accessible, but for the price would like some updates, especially after 5 years! Please let us know when updates are coming! @thescarfismine

This hasnt been updated since 2009. The Eagle requirements are different now. Update like other apps!!

As an official BSA publication there is no reason to not keep this updated as the requirements change. This book doesnt reflect the January 2014 changes to the eagle required merit badge list.

Ive had this app before I was even an Eagle Scout, Its one of the few apps Ive never deleted off my phone, I love it cause I always have to go back and reread certain sections. I hope they make the field guide as an app too...i would buy it!

This version isnt as helpful as the actual book, it doesnt include the layout for the uniform... Stupid to not include it. Trying to help my son with his new uniform, but the electronic version doesnt have the info I need.

Buggy in iOS 8. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY! Thought it was an iPad app too, its only supported as 2x as an iphone app on the ipad. For $10 I thought that was what I was going to get. Please update the app and make it universal.

As an Eagle Scout looking to pass on what I’ve learned to my daughters, particularly around knife safety and knots, I immediately went to downloading this app since, coming from the BSA, I considered it would be official, current and relevant. It is absolutely non-functional on iOS 8.1. It’s unconscionable to offer this app for $10 when it’s not even making use of the space for an iPhone 5. It’s clearly not been maintained. Very disappointed in the BSA for having their name associated with this mess and it’s a $10 I regret having spent vs. buying the actual handbook.

Promising app, but it is not maintained or updated. As other reviewers have noted, it crashes frequently. The developers are not being good scouts -- they are not doing their best. Best to buy the official printed handbook.

I echo what many others have said: Needs an update! The app crashes constantly. The features are limited considering the price tag. I immediately had buyers remorse after I purchased this app. Right idea, but poor execution.

For $10, this ought to family shareable, just like 90%+ of all other apps.

This is a very out dated app. Does not have any active development. Do Not Spend Your Money!

Not reliable; its glitchy and not useful. Just get the book. As apps go, its overpriced, as all things are with BSA, and the proceeds just will end up going to the BSA over payed "scouters" and not to the boys.

I have two boys in scouts, and having the scout book with me all the time, comes handy. Now that there are new requirement, I hope that we get an update for the app.

Its frustrating that the new 2016 version of this handbook has been available for almost a full month, but the app has not been updated to reflect. Additionally, the contents button does not work well on iOS, sometimes it is completely unresponsive. For an app that is made by an organization such as the BSA, I expect more. Give us a product we can realistically use. Finally, why is this app not available for iPads? The pages are identical to the paperback book (which is good) and on a phone, its difficult to really use. Please release an iPad variant so that we can get better use.

Rank requirements have changed. This version is not up to date. Additionally some usability improvements could be made. I would prefer this to be a downloadable iBook to take advantage of the bookmarking / text sizing / and note taking abilities already present in that application.

I wish you would develop a scout book app and a merit badge requirements app with an option to purchase "in app" the specific handbook for each badge! Help a scouter out
